After being told that we were not qualified for a mortgage by a lender, I was referred to Debby by my realtor. Long story short, we closed on our house today. Debby worked diligently to figure out ways that helped us get the mortgage approved and save money in the process. Very easy to work with and always available for questions/concerns. Best mortgage broker in town hands down! Debby Hernandez is the GOAT! So easy to work with. Such a smooth transaction, I barely had to lift a finger. She communicated with me regularly providing updates via text and calls. I had a horrible experience with another brokerage in Tampa and immediately after calling Liberty mortgage and speaking to Debby she set my mind at ease she called me the next day with a solid approval and few contingencies. I live in Wisconsin and for the past 5+ months I spent a painful amount of time, effort and research trying to secure financing (aka a mortgage) for a mobile home that I wanted to buy in North Fort Myers, Florida.  Local banks in Wisconsin refused and were of little help.  I thought that working with a national lender would be better; but after 4 weeks of working with Rocket Mortgage once the underwriters learned the home was in a co-op (I own the home but the park/club owns the land) which I told the agent on the first day and was assured that as long as there was no lot rent that it would be ok.  He was wrong, and with the financing deadline approaching I was left looking for another lender.  I decided to try banks in the Fort Myers area who were accustomed to dealing with mobile home mortgages and would understand the risks and hazardous weather of that area.  The problem: there are few lenders willing to finance mobile homes in Florida...those that do will only finance newer homes (10 years old or newer)...and yet even fewer that will consider property in a co-op. I continued my research and called numerous banks until I found Liberty Mortgage.  I submitted an online application and the next day Debby from Liberty called me to discuss my options.  Right off the bat, she was a HUGE help.  To save me a lot of time and effort, she gathered all the information and documents that she needed by pulling it directly from one of the previous lenders (where I had already submitted all of my information).  She was always very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, upfront, quick in getting things done, and very good with explaining terms and the process, and keeping me up to date.  She was dedicated and worked late many times.  Whenever we ran into a roadblock, she wouldn't give up but would put her mind to it and come up with alternatives.  The lender that she was trying to secure a mortgage with wasn't able to because the mobile home was in a co-op. But this is where Liberty, and more specifically Debby, was different from any lender that I have dealt with in the past.  She actually cared and understood that this wasn't just another loan but my future home.  She knew the difficulties that I had been through and that the deadline was days away.  Instead of dumping me at that point and not offering any solutions, as all the previous lenders had done, she made it clear that she wasn't done helping me.  She told me, "Don't worry - I know this is important to you and I will keep working with you until you find a lender - and I won't charge you"!  At this point, I had to request an extension on my home offer, and over the next 2 months, she continued to work with me daily; spending a lot of time doing research and contacting lenders.  I ended up working with 2 more lenders (21st Mortgage, which was a royal pain and they wanted way too much information, and SouthState Bank which I ended up going with).  She was right there with me - answering questions and helping me provide whatever information or documents that the lenders needed.  It was nice to have Liberty/Debby by my side during this difficult time.  And I won't even get started on the pain of trying to secure homeowner's insurance in FL. Bottom line:  Liberty/Debby is definitely worth contacting to see if they can meet your mortgage needs!
